Theory and characteristics of most of the electronic devices used in industry. Basic practical circuits will be presented to reinforce the theory. [4 lecture, 2 lab hours per week.]

Students successfully completing this course will:

7.1 Use graphic and analytic methods to describe the functions of electronic devices.

7.2 Reduce electronic circuits to a DC and AC equivalent circuit.

7.3 Construct and analyze standard electronic circuits.

7.4 Use manufacturers data to select components for specific problems.

7.5 Use graphic analysis to solve simple circuit problems.

7.6 Present results of laboratory investigations in an acceptable form.
 
8. Expected Performance Outcomes (measurable):

The students will:

8.1 Attend class as scheduled

8.2 Complete and submit assignments by due dates

8.3 Maintain "C" level standards on daily assignments

8.4 Demonstrate proficiency in electrical safety activities at a minimum level of 70%

8.5 Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory activities at a minimum level of 70%

8.6 Demonstrate proficiency on written quizzes at a minimum level of 70%
